Our Gisborne clinic is home to our brand new 3T Siemens Magnetom Lumina. Our scanner is fully licensed, so we are able to offer bulk billed MRI scans to our patients.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a scanning technique that provides pictures of the body without using radiation. Powerful magnets and radiofrequency waves are used to image your body without the need for x-rays.
Appointments are required for MRI services. Due to the use of a strong magnet, patients need to complete a safety screening process to ensure that the magnetic waves will not interfere with any medical implants such as pacemakers or surgical clips.
